Respected colleagues, dear friends,
In sincere hope to be an interesting, useful and pleasant event, you are kindly invited to attend already traditional 5th joint ultrasound congress of Slovene and Croatian ultrasound societies. It is going to take place in the wonderful alpine area of Kranjska Gora, in the Ramada Resort hotel from May 12-14, 2017. The memories on our last joint meeting held in Split, Croatia in 2015 are stil unforgettably beautiful. Since then, we have actively followed the intense development and spread of medical ultrasound so that we'll be able to enthusiastically as always share our experience and achievements. During the congress in Kranjska Gora, according to the interest of our societies' members, special attention will be paid on multidisciplinary approach to ultrasound diagnostics of the kidneys and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), which is also going to be the topic of the pre-congress course in Ljubljana. The invited representatives from Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia and economists together with physicians will take part in the round table on numerous new ultrasound examinations and discuss about their evaluation and refoundation. After interesting international session during WINFOCUS congress in Ljubljana in September 2016 »WINFOCUS meets Balkans« the next meeting with colleagues coming from the regions of the former Yugoslavia will be organized and we will try to create the guidelines for the emergency ultrasound use in their countries. Slovene iand Croatian medicine students will be given a special oportunity to present their activities using ultrasound during their study. So, this congress is again going to be an opportunity for a profesional and social meeeting of several medical specialists: radiologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists, surgeons, pediatricians and neonatologists, gynecologists and obstetricians, neurologists, emergency and intesive care specialists and all of the other doctors using ultrasound in their everyday practice. All the members of Slovene and Croatian ultrasound societies as well as other doctors and students interested in ultrasound are invited to join the congress activities where the leading Slovene, Croatian and other internationally recognized invited ultrasound experts will present their knowledge during lectures, discussions and practical workshops.
