Dear colleagues, dear friends,

With great honour and pleasure we invite you to the eleventh interdisciplinary AVUS 2018 symposium/ meeting dedicated to vascular sonography, vascular and cardiac imaging, vascular and interventional radiology, vascular surgery and angiology.

The meeting has become traditional and is being organized regularly since January 2004, as the result of international collaboration of experienced speakers, a team of clinicians and experts in the field of vascular and cardiac imaging and vascular medicine.

Distinguished faculty members from three organizing countries - Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia - but also from the United Kingdom, Russia, Israel, Hungary and Bosnia-Herzegovina guarantee high quality of lectures that will cover wide range of topics of vascular imaging and interventional and surgical treatment.

The attendants will benefit from lectures, hands-on vascular ultrasound sessions, clinical case analysis and personal communication with speakers, by sharing experience and knowledge in the field of vascular imaging and intervention. While the general outline of AVUS symposia is similar, in comparison to the previous meeting the program in cardiac imaging and interventional radiology is expanded considerably this year, and the hot issue of radiation protection is introduced.

We look forward to meeting you again in the beautiful small city of Lovran / Laurana, the jewel of Adriatic sea and Opatija / Liburnia riviera, the area with the oldest tourist tradition on Croatian coast, for another memmorable course.
